The following practice can also useful if you feel uncertain,
agitated, caught in either/or thinking, panic, tightness, being hyper-vigilant.



The wave of expansion that empowers the feeling of happiness naturally and inexorably turns into a wave of contraction, before once again expanding outward.

When the contraction is done on purpose this subtle movement can activate healthy vigilance and fast thinking.  When the contraction is, instead, generated by reactivity it is natural to experience feeling anxious or uncertain.

Step 1: A Systems View

To encourage genuine and enduring change you need a global narrative.  One of the more interesting side-effects of a systems view is the realization that to effectively transform any of these feelings you need to work with all of them.
